an introduction

Marcellina has never gone by her full name; it's Marcy, or in the case of a certain person, Mom. Her son, Caleb, is ten years old and in training to become a spy, which she is completely against. Marcy wants to get out of Fordham, as she found the missions against her conscience even before she adopted the Christian faith. However, it's easier just to stay and her Christian morals tend to disappear when they become inconvenient.

relationships

Having been in Fordham for so long, most of Marcy's friends are also spies. She's not adverse to friendships outside or Fordham, though, as she's gotten quite good at lying and cover stories. Marcy is generally a pretty sociable person and she much prefers the company of others than being alone. Of course, she's not without enemies. On missions, Marcy puts herself first to make sure she comes back for Caleb. Sometimes that means leaving a fellow spy in the lurch. And her desire to leave wouldn't sit well with anyone in Fordham if it got out. As for her love life, Marcy operates on the philosophy of leave them before they leave you. She's had her fair share of dates and casual flirtations, but they rarely develop beyond that.

so for cal and marcy, they'd most obviously be enemies. maybe they'd gone against each other at one point, fought each other on a job, etc. but what if he didn't see her on the job, what if they ran into each other when she had caleb, and was out on the city? iunno, it could turn out interesting xD

maybe these two could be acquaintances? i feel like, if jace knew about caleb and that he was being trained up for fordham, he wouldn't be able to stand marcy, so there's also the possibility for enemies within the organization. up to you, really!

That would be really interesting if he saw her with Caleb. For one thing, they can't do much openly in a public space, but she would also be trying to hide Caleb from him. She's a bit of a mama bear where he is concerned.

Would he be upset that Caleb is growing up in Fordham? It would be interesting if that's why he didn't like her, but she thought it was because he knows about her wanting to leave.

Because Meg's ex-CIA, they'd probably be enemies. Meg does not like Fordham, Fordham does not like Meg. However, Meg does have a bit of a soft spot for kids, especially if they're being made into spies even though she knows how dangerous they can be, because she was there and did that and knew how crappy it was. If she ever saw Marcy with Caleb and knew that she was against her son becoming a spy and that Marcy herself wanted to get out of Fordham, there's a chance that she would make a deal to try and get them out, if offered enough incentive (and there would have to be incentive there). I don't know, random drama-y plot I offer if it's ever relevant.

misha and marcy

Unless she got pizza or figured out that he was a computer whiz, Misha and her probably wouldn't meet. He's your typical oblivious civilian with a nerdy and a pacifistic streak.

Yeah, eventually I want Marcy to actually get out of Fordham, but probably not for a while. Meg would be great for when that happens.

i think his opinion of her would change fractionally when he sees that she has a kid, it would make her look more ... human? in his eyes. and yeah, they can't do anything, so it'd definitely be something different to thread xD i can start it, unless you wanted to?

jace was recruited at age five, so he never had a chance to see what else there was outside of fordham. he'd feel like caleb was in for the same life that he was, and he wouldn't want that for him, even if he barely knew his name. so since marcy was, in his mind, allowing it to happen, he would hate her for it, greatly. and he'd tell her as much.
