As Brian walked along the path at a carefully measured pace he was sure to keep an eye out for anyone who might be watching; if they looked for too long it would become obvious that he and his partner were walking at a deliberate speed. Of course anyone who stared long enough to figure that out would be an associate of the man they were following, to the untrained eye, an average businessman, reasonably wealthy, enough so to afford an expensive but off the rack suit, shirt and tie and a good lopoint watch, not golden or a Rolex or anything but nice enough that they wouldn't want to be in the park after dark. Why then would this otherwise average looking man be taking the long way him through the park, in the evening? The answer, no doubt, lay in the briefcase he was carrying. Of course mere mortals like Brian and Jace would never know the answer to that question, oh no, their job was to find out the case was going to, no more and no less. All they had been told was it contained industrial documents, of what nature was unclear but Brian had his suspicions, it would make sense for Fordham to be involved in industrial espionage, there was a lot of money to be had and given the right secrets, a major leg-up on the CIA to be had also.
Brian wasn't much of talker when he was in his usual sullen mood, his face remained impassive as he whispered to Jace, his lips barely moving as he spoke. "We should ease up a little, there's a place up ahead where we can disappear behind the trees and cut across the park, gives us a good view of the path." He murmured, his own attire fitting with the man they were following, a considerably nicer suit on his form, it's black fabric being accentuated perfectly by his red tie and white shirt. "Until then though we'd better find something to talk about, we can't just walk along like this, saying nothing, until we're out of sight at least, it looks suspicious." He continued in the same hushed tones. After glancing around again, briefly wondering what it is they could talk about, as far as he knew Jace was a Fordham agent and nothing else, that was literally all he knew about the guy, despite having seen him around before. After a short moment of silence Brian spoke up again, this time in a normal voice. "So how long have you been with the 'company' anyway?" He questioned his young partner, genuinely wanting to learn more about the young man, although more for his benefit rather than out of curiosity, knowledge was power after all and Brian needed all the knowledge he could get his hands on.
