Old man - Double agent - Cold - Bitter - Angry - Deadly - Alone
Who, how & why?
Brian Nathaniel Gregory is a man trapped in Hell, he made all the right decisions, played everything right and yet one day, everything still went to shit. He had a good life, he was an agent who surpassed all others even within his advanced training program, he had a beautiful wife, two wonderful children, even his job treated him and his family well. Then one day his wife was killed in a car accident, revealed to be a targeted attempt by Fordham, it was only when he was deemed an unfit parent by social services a short time after Amelia's death (his wife) and had his children taken from him that he snapped. He could see only one way out and he spent many nights quietly contemplating how to escape his torment when he got the call from the CIA… they had a way into Fordham.
That was it, from that moment onward his new purpose had been found, he had no family to care for and while he felt he had served his country perhaps too much, he had never had a taste of revenge, he'd never wanted it until now but for what they'd done to him, he'd make Fordham pay. No matter how much it was he would extract every drop of blood from their lifeless corpse that he could, it didn't matter what their excuse was, what their agenda was, any of it, all that mattered was their destruction. So by faking his death and approaching Fordham in the guise of a CIA agent searching for a better life with their organisation, he infiltrated them, gained their trust and for his entire ten years with them, sabotaged their operations and fed information to the CIA, doing as much damage as physically possible to the entire structure of Fordham.
Friends
Brian isn't always the easiest man to get along with, his sullen attitude is understandable given his past but the fact that he doesn't like to talk about it makes it difficult to allow people to understand him, often simply leading to the perception of him as simply being a bit of a jerk with no reason behind it; although a great and determined agent, combined with ruthless efficiency.
Behind this external image however there is a man who, when considering himself off duty, is just like any other man, he may even be called personable or funny. These moments are rare however as most of his free time is spent borderline obsessively watching his children, an activity that for obvious reasons, Brain cannot and will not allow anyone else to know about, much less participate in.
Enemies
Frankly, making Brian an enemy is not a mean feat. With his serious, sullen and often times, brooding attitude, it's less than easy to get on with him. He considers virtually everyone a potential enemy until he knows more about them; this is through dint of his job, he is required to keep his eyes on everyone if he wants to live and even if his only reason for living is to cause Fordham grief, it's good enough for him.
Some good ways to get on his bad side though are being part of Fordham, calling him old man and/or underestimating him due to his age, being dishonest, cowardly or generally a jerk in any sense of the word, ruining his work or disobeying his orders.
Relationships
Brian doesn't really expect to find anyone, nor is he looking. No doubt the spark hasn't yet died in him nor is the knowledge that he could find someone if he truly wanted to and truly tried but after so many years, it's fair to say he's used to it and has somewhat given up on his chances of finding another love in this life. Of course miracles occasionally happen, he just isn't counting on it.
Well there we go, that's Brian, I'm sure I've forgotten something in some way or another but those are probably the big things that everyone's interested in.
