see yourself, your true perfection This is Zaria, a.k.a. Ari (or Zee). She's a civilian and totally comfortable with that arrangement. She knows nothing and sees nothing out of the ordinary. She comes from money and is a student at NYU. She just got her first "job" at a barista and is looking out at the world wide open. The world may not always be sunshine and puppies to her, but she has no idea how bad things can get. She doesn't let people get close to her, because to her, friendships and acquaintances are something to be acquired through business transactions and money exchange. It doesn't stop her from being social, however. As far as more intimate relations go, she was close to Nate. Once. Part of her is afraid to get close. She may see someone she might like, but just as quickly as that infatuation comes, it goes. She's not really an enemy unless she insults you, spits on you, spills a drink on you, steps on you, gets in your way or otherwise tries to stop you from doing something. She loves to chew on her foot and her sharp tongue has gotten her into trouble before. To her 'enemies' she will insult them, flaunt her financial status at them or just plain ignore them.
Zaria definitely has a quiet kick for adventure and learning that not everything is sunshine and roses. So... feel free to put her in danger or let her cameo in a city thread. She promises she won't be much of a bother. Also, for those wanting to befriend a civilian, well... good luck with that.

If she works as a barista, there's a definite chance that Meg will meet her, as she frequents a lot of cafés and places like that. There may be a sort of camaraderie there, because both of them have similar personalities in terms of being reserved and sharp-tongued. Of course, this could also lean towards plenty of scuffles. I can see them being acquaintances, neither of them knowing the other particularly well, but sort of on a first name, "hey I remember you" type basis. Any ideas?

With Zaria, her reservations come because she knows no better. I can see them being more like reluctant acquaintances at first and then actually remembering names later. She wouldn't know how to reach out to her for friendship or anything like that. Megan isn't exactly a sorority (built-in friend-type) sister or a classmate and she's just sort of clueless how to connect to anyone outside of that environment. I'm sort of curious as to how Ari can push her buttons, actually. Like, if she keeps blathering on and saying nothing. What are the odds of that happening?

nate & arikay so these two. xDD i thought that maybe their first thread could be them maybe on a date, and then that dissolves into them fighting, and trying to figure things out, and we'll take it from there? we already know what's going on with them, so xD

Meg is pretty calm and rational about most things, but if Ari pressed the right buttons at the right time, she might snap a bit. She'd still get the inability to connect, Meg has a hard time socially... Hm. :) Does that make sense, or?

I can foresee awkward pauses and awkward conversation between them, then. Zaria will feel compelled to speak up and say something and be all "oh... okay..." if Meg doesn't automatically jump in. It'd be interesting to see how two socially awkward butterflies sort of interact with one another aside from sitting at a table and looking the other way. It makes sense!
